With the birth of my daughter I have a new appreciation for the Disney Princesses and working on this cake made me want to run to my DVD player and watch each and every Disney Princess movie that has ever been made. This cake was so fun to work on, it was done for a family member and was two tiered with both princesses made out of fudgy chocolate cake with traditional vanilla buttercream icing. The tiara on top was a gift to the little princess whose birthday we were celebrating. I think she really enjoyed eating the princesses ;) 
These cupcakes are so moist and fluffy and mmmm that creamy cream cheese frosting, they are the epitome of decadent.... When I was growing up my mom would always make us red cake for our birthdays and to this day it is still one of my absolute favorite desserts.
If you love rich desserts like I do, then this is a cake for you... It is a buttery yellow cake with chocolate chips throughout and chocolate ganache oozing over the top of it. It is perfect with an extra extra large glass of milk!
I absolutely loved cookies and cream blizzards as a kid. If I could get one treat at anytime during my childhood that would have been it. Wow does this cupcake take me right back to my childhood but with an adult cheesecake twist.
